Our Beginning GYC Community — Gathering Yahawah’s Children — was founded in 2015 by Minister Yashar, Minister Dawad and Minister Yochanan. Minister Yashar, previously a captain at a different Hebrew congregation left to build GYC along with the Ministers aforementioned and with the support of brothers and sisters, including Chief Napash, Brother Yaqwam and Sister Elisha. The name “GYC” itself was revealed by divine inspiration where the Most High commanded Minister Yashar to go and gather Yah’s people and bring them to the mountain. We believe this mountain represents Israel, a place where all Israelites and all Jews will ultimately return home to find safety, order, and spiritual renewal. From the very beginning, we have been steadfast in following the true tenets of the Hebrew faith. This includes keeping the Torah, eating kosher, and honoring the Most High by celebrating His appointed High Holy Days. Our Early Journey Our story did not begin in grand buildings or comfortable spaces. In the early days, we could afford only a small storage unit — Unit 88 — which grew intensely hot during the summer months, even with portable air conditioners. Yet we persevered, teaching the truth of the Gospel from our hearts and our own pockets, despite the harsh conditions. Though some came and left, our message remained unwavering and through the grace of the Most High we have made significant progress. Our Hebrew Congregation and Community has grown tremendously and the message we teach continue to make positive changes in many lives. We remain forever grateful to those brothers and sisters who joined us on this journey. Without hesitation, you are the reason we work so hard — for Jerusalem’s sake, for Yah’s sake, and for our People's sake, we will never tire. Our Mission GYC Community exists because of the immense struggle YHWH’s people endure worldwide. Wherever we are found, we suffer oppression, systemic injustice, poverty, mass incarceration, malnutrition, rampant abortion, and hatred without cause. Even worse, our people are set on a path of self-destruction through lack of knowledge. But we will not stand idle. We have asked ourselves: If we do not do it, who will? Many movements that rise up either serve our oppressors or exploit our pain for profit. We refuse to follow that path. We are compelled by the pain of our people, moved by the call of the Most High to gather, teach, and restore His chosen nation. Our Work GYC Community is dedicated to uplifting, empowering, and rebuilding our people by:
We believe only the Holy Bible — in its entirety — can heal our people. By transforming our thinking through YHWH’s laws, we will overcome the root of our curse and rise as a restored nation. GYC Community stands as a beacon of hope, gathering Yahawah’s Children back to the mountain of safety, order, and truth. With unwavering faith, we continue our mission, for we will not rest until Jerusalem is restored and our people are uplifted. |
